The Importance of Jerusalem
Jerusalem is the third holiest site to Islam after Mecca and Medina. For Muslims Jerusalem is important because of something called Muhammad's night journey. The word crusades was a loaded term then and it's a loaded term now. It's very hard to unpack history from myth and modern applications from myth and history as well.
