The Power of Data Literacy

I find what's interesting a lot about data stories is that in the abstract or when it's, you know, somebody else's problem people don't quite understand it. Data tends to be pretty inscrutable and pretty hard to access, but When you make it personal and when you make it germane and relevant to that individual, it can be really powerful. The same goes with an employee thinking that they're going to be replaced by algorithms and concerned about about jobs. Another element of data literacy is to help people understand how to use and engage with data as part of their job.
