The Great Statue of Nebuchadnezzar
Behind the image of the stone toppling the giant statue, we might see david and goliath. As an uncut stone, it would also be associated with the altar, which was formed of uncut stones. Altars were associated with mountains, a place of communion, with god. Most importantly, the mountain that fills the earth is an image of comprehensiveness. It joins heaven to earth in its height, and it unites the whole world in its scope.
