How did Cummings go from political mega-brain with hands so firmly gripping the number 10 steering wheel? He felt secure enough to shout abuse at MPs in the Commons corridors. And why do we have a system which promoted such an inconsequential person to the top in the first place? Arthur, even though he's out of his position of power, Cummings still exercises weird fascination and his sub-stack pronouncements get traction. I think he is firmly within a certain rather specific cultural archetype, which is the sort of tech-bro libertarian.
