The ground of Manhattan may not be able to even hold the amount of construction that we're putting on it. The pipes are old as fuck, but two, they're building a luxury building every day and those streets were built in the 1900s. So naturally, shit is sinking, shit is dropping because you don't dug up everything. I think Manhattan might be below sea level. Is it? No way. There's a lot of places that are below sea level that you wouldn't like realize are below that.
