The Fermi Paradox and the Importance of Simulation

I find myself drawn back to this question because I think it relates to so many other questions. It's like when we were talking about the Fermi Paradox a long time ago and I find the night's, the empty night sky concerning. And you have the exact same situation with the simulation question. Well, somebody has to be the first intelligence that starts making simulations. Why not you?
