When he was training in England back in the late 70s and early 80s, I don't remember anyone ever saying anything other than the head as though it were a kind of a solid unit. But there wasn't much of an idea of any internal movements within the head. And then I met Peter Groomwald and started working with his work on how to use the brain. He has picked out a particular spot in the brain at the top of the visual cortex, which he calls the upper visual cortex. And once one to direct from there and let the front of the brain do its own thing - that's huge implications for Alexander teachers and students.
