CHAPTER

Is There a Value in Capturing History in Commits?

I think the current version of it is 90 plus percent of the value and the further like the history decays as well. And if we can cling to a little bit of what was true at that moment in time that we wrote this given line of code, I personally think there's a lot of value in that. But I would say I rarely find myself looking back multiple years in history and finding valuable, useful, relevant piece of information there. It might be good to know why this thing changed, but ultimately it's like, well, now we want it to do this.
