The History of Visual Art

The history of visual art contains quite a lot of this. If you look at the art of ancient egypt, mainly the hieroglyphs, it doesn't really change for three thousand years. Nobody figured out how to draw a realistic looking human or a realistic looking landscape in that time. And then something changed a thousand years ago when paintings start to become more realistic as a consequence,. almost, of architecture.
