Are You Always on Edge?

If you are a line, aren't you always on edge? The only reason I can see a line that I plot on a graphing calculator is because I'm imagining a world that looks like that world. It's truly a one dimensional space. So yeah, maybe we're constantly surrounded by sentient one dimensional lines who are like, oh my God, I don't believe these people have to poop all the time. Oh God. But then that makes me think, am I really thinking or am I just much more complicated in the way, in the story I tell myself about my predetermined thoughts and actions?
