JK Rowling seems terrified to the point of pathological hysteria about men saying that they identify as women just so they can get into the lady's washroom and somehow harm JK Rowling. Nobody should shame JK Rowling for feeling the way she does, but shame her all day long for what she chooses to do with those feelings. The recognition and acceptance of trans people is going to cause some problems in a society previously organized around a strict gender binary. But we live in charmed times, blessed times. Our society can handle more nuance now, which is why we are, or we're trying to.
