iam speaking to day with joe spencer. Joe has written a wonderful article about hugh nibley's cont tions to book o mormon's studies. There's no question that nibblei is a towering figure in the history of book of mormon research. He was very nuanced, and i think, in a way that we ought to learn to appreciate, he was very nuanced about drawing the line between what he's doing for the academy and what he'sdoing for the benefit of the saints.
