Are the Chinese Thumbing Their Nose at the US?

The Chinese did not apologize for the spy balloon. They also know that the administration is extremely cautious about shooting something like that down if it does penetrate into US airspace. So why wouldn't they try again? Even as I said, they just get a couple of things that's all-more data for them to digest and examine.
