Movie Review: Ponytail Guy

One of my favorite scenes in the movie is that entire soliloquy that Damon has when he's doing the interview with the NSA. The only part I don't understand is like why in the world is the NSA trying to convince this felon to come work for them? Like why does the NSA have to bend over backwards? It must be right. They should have just like pivoted it into like a private weapons firm or something like the United States government bringing in Matt Damon who's been arrested 15 times in two years to break codes just seems incredibly unreasonably illogical. And it just feels like it's happening in a different movie and it didn't stick out to me as much
