You should get his collective works and read every page. If somebody wants to get started with Borges, what book do you think they should go to first? I would be really tempted to call it the greatest book of the 20th century. Claude Levi Strauss is a piece because that's the only book he wrote really for an element. He made his whole career as a ground breaking anthropologist with new ideas about anthropology. But he only spent like four or five months in the field in his whole life.
