In sydney itself, we've had something approaching 20 inches of rain. This is around the amount of rain that london sees in an entire year. There's been something like 200 rescues conducted in flood waters by emergency services. And round about two to three thousand homes absolutely flooded out and may have to be written off. Even the animal life has come to believe they are living in a wet land. We have these birds called the ibis, which are a large white birds with a long hoop bill.
