Is the Heat Pump a Miracle of Wonder?
The UK uses 70 gigawatts of heat in the winter. To generate that, if you go via a hydrogen route, you've got a green hydrogen route. You start off with a large amount of wind, offshore wind or renewables. Then there's and then you have to impress it and transport it and so on. And finally, burn it in yourYour hydrogen boiler, an engine boiler, and the total losses through that are about 50%. So that means that you need 140, 150 gigawatts of renewable electricity.
