The Importance of Raising the Minimum Age of Criminal Responsibility

The minimum age of criminal responsibility in Australia is currently 12. The UN recommended it be 14, but states like Queensland have been using that as an excuse not to raise the age. Victoria has now said they are also putting in light a commitment to then raise it to 14. But there's literally not a single piece of evidence or justification in any way to raise it to 12.
