The problem with where we're at with NAC dosing now is that it's pretty varied across the country. The poison center can help you figure out the best protocol for how to dose your patient, i.e. what dose they need and for how long,. when to stop giving NAC. "I think the safest thing is for this to be incorporated into electronic order sets in some capacity," she says.
