The Importance of Civic Liberalism

In his new book, "Civility," Julian Zelizer explains the difference between money liberalism and civic liberalism. He argues that in order to get social equality, you have to create a sphere where people are all equal within it. But he also says this kind of conservatism is costing Democrats elections.
