The Benefits of Honey

Honey has a number of antimicrobial properties, that's the ability to kill bacteria. These stem partly from the inherent properties of honey, i.e. high in sugar. The bees produce proteins called defense, and so it's a bit like natural antibodies if you want to call them that,. But there are also goodies from the plants themselves, as you may have heard of the manuka honey from New Zealand.
