Asteroids can be loosely held together by gravity. These rocks when they spin fast about two hours, and very often they end up with a satellite. So even though they're small, we think of small things of having hardly any gravity, but whatever gravity they have, it's enough to so they have some kind of shape. Otherwise you expect the rocks to just drink the water.
