The Way Jesus Speaks of the Past, Present, and the Future
The Gospels show Jesus held up all three points of time as worthy of our consideration. The modern preference for things that are new, contemporary of this moment is perhaps one of our culture's blind spots. There are times when Jesus tells people to think about the present and not fret about the future. This part of Jesus' teaching is obviously a corrective to the hoarders among us.
