Tradition: The Riddle House (Book 4, Chapter 1)
Harry Potter and the Sacred Text
What Kind of Manhood Doesn't Matter?
Vanessa: I really do think that the books do so well is demonstrate the ways that trauma begets more trauma, right? We see this with Harry because his parents were killed. He gets raised by the dursleys, he doesn't get to find out he's a wizard,. Like these things just compound one another and it's the same with Frank, right? Vanessa: The question of what kind of masculinity counts as masculinity becomes important when you have someone who has suffered too much but can't reckon with those traumas.
