Is There a Difference Between Manic Episodes and by Polar Disorder?

Manic episodes are kind of associated with the word by polar disorder. There is actually no requirement for a depressive episode in the criteria. People who come in and might have one manic episode once every ten years, at 20 and 30, generally do pretty well. It's the folks that fall into multiple depressive episodes that can be in trouble. The longer the symptoms persist in the absence of the drug, the more you have to be suspicious of an underlying bi polar disorder.
