Film Review: Fitzcarraldo
Tim Roth's mistress is played by this real life concert pianist. Zisha dreams of a train track covered in crab that the train barrels towards it. And I actually think that's Herzog's mission statement with this film. He wants something totally earnest and unironic. It almost feels like if he had made it 20 years before, it would work. Better than it does when he's like almost like the tentacles of Hollywood's involvement getting around the picture.
