Is There Any Other Symbolism Behind the Abolition of the Chairman?

There's some commentary that one of the reasons for getting rid of the fice was as a a signal that the period of one one man rule had ended. So it certainly carries symbolic value about this personal coult around malzedom and associatd with the title of party chairman. But i think the letter approachd to reactivate the party chairman would allow him to match the current, the informal power that he has with the title. And i think critically, why would he need to do that, in your estimation, rather than just staying on as general secretary?
