Introduction

Hesiod was one of the earliest and most important writers of Greek literature. He was known in antiquity as the Farmer Poet. Two of Hesiod's long poems have been in circulation for 2700 years. This is the first of dozens of episodes we'll do on the literature of ancient Greece.
