The Story of Alexander and the Gnomes
Alexander was depicted in the Alexander room as much as a conqueror, but someone who was really keen to see and know as much as possible for a human being. So according to the Alexander Romans, he claims the mythical beasts, the griffins, which have lion, bodies, eagle, hearts and huge rings. And somehow connects them with a rope to a little throne. He puts some wool meat at the end of his lances and stretches them out of the throne. This story is represented in various cultures with the translations of the Alexander Romans in various ways.
