The Impacts of the Tonga Volcano

It was quite a while before we started to see the direct evidence of what had happened at Tonga and the other islands in the region. We did right from the very start see this extraordinary plume that rockers it up from the volcano, reaching to the very top of the atmosphere. It also created some unusual winds and unusual electric currents up in space. And we actually saw those waves propagate around the globe at least three times after the eruption.
