The Schism Between Speculative Design and Architecture

There's a way in which I can see kind of backfilling and understanding architecture as also speculative design, except that it isn't because I don't think architects say that they do speculative design. For me, the way that I think about what is speculative futures approaches specifically is like if you take that umbrella and you're like, I'm not sure if you're interested in this,. It's like a Venn diagram where these tools overlap and the ways that they're used in other disciplines.
