The Dangers of Spiritual Abuse

The term spiritual abuse is rather new as I'm understanding kind of coming out of the 50s and the heavy shepherding movement. As you're speaking about that, I'm reminded of Jesus' temptation in the desert. Who is it that takes scripture and twists it? It's Satan. So again, this is not a new phenomenon. In fact, I would say it goes back even to Eli's sons in the Old Testament,. Haphne and Phineas, who here they were priests of God... They stood at the gates and would really manipulate people to cheat them.
