The a Priori Structure of Repression

Lacan: Repression includes and has baked into it an acceptance of the thing that is repressed. In order to repress something, you have to acknowledge its existence as something out there in the world with an effect that is dangerous to you. The psychotic doesn't even acknowledge that shit.
