The Demographic Bias in the Meta Survey

There were some strong divergences between what people predicted and the views that people actually held. It might be worth going over some of the sources of demographic bias first. The main things to account for are our respondent population was overwhelmingly academic. And it skewed towards people who use Twitter, whereas China and India and Japan were all kind of deeply underrepresented.
