What's the Difference Between Ice Loss and Glacial Thinning?
The climate on swalbard is quite gradated, so you have warmer temperatures to the south and to the west. It becomes progressively colder to the north and to the east. You can use what we observe for the modern period of ice thinning to project what it will be in e future. The far northeast is going to experience temperatures that are comparable to the far south.
