Introduction

If you have a clock that's visible, you have demonstrably worse sleep than if you never look at the clock. The brain wants reassurance about what time it is, and so it just will keep waking up to check time. So I think the goal should be that you sleep until the alarm and then you get up and jump out of bed the moment the alarm first sounds.
