The Rise of Over 50s in the Workforce After the Pandemic
Of that increase of half a million, over 300,000 of it are those aged between 50 to 64. Between August and October last year, 100,000 people aged between 15 and 64 started looking for work or gained employment compared to the previous three months. That's the highest we have seen since autumn 2015. And the other interesting thing we are seeing in terms of the type of work they are gaining is that we've seen a large increase in part-time workers in recent months.
