app you can record photos and observations of the sky above your head and submit it to scientists like marille at nasa here at nasa Langley research center. We match your observations to those data points from satellites then they'll send you back your matched up photos. That information helps nasa to understand the clouds better now satellites are great but they're not perfect so maybe you found one in instance where what you were able to see was just unique and maybe a little bit hard for the instrument on the satellite to see sometimes the satellite see things that we do not notice particularly high clouds if there's a lot of low clouds for us those high clouds would be hard to notice.
