The year over year number up eight point two percent was still a little bit better than the up eight point three percent from August, but still hotter than the eight point one percent that had been expected. But if we still have back to back increases in consumer prices that are better than eight percent, you're still talking about four times the feds two percent target. In fact, it doesn't make any sense that the markets continue to expect better numbers on inflation, yet continue to be surprised when those numbers come out worst and expected. It's the classic definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again, yet expecting a different result. This high inflation is not going to go away anytime soon
