Carl Perkins and the Perkins Brothers
The Perkins Brothers band had now become Carl Perkins and his band. Sam Phillips was in financial trouble at the time, and he was trying to find ways to cut costs. When they came back a few weeks later, they had worked out a few more songs. Movie Mag did well enough on Flip that for the next Carl Perkins single, Phillips moved him onto Sun Records proper.
