The culture revolution, the civil war itself and shooting of landowners were stories that they told absolutely. These were stories that previously either werd e not acknowledged. The existence of the famine in the late fifties, early sixties is something that even now is very difficult to speak about. And this opened up the possibility for, i shall say, directly or indirectly, talking about that in films.
