The colonial project that started in 14 92 undoubtedly re shaped our world. Old empires fell, while others flour huge amounts of wealth were extracted from the colonized parts of the globe. There was a massive movement of human populations, sometimes voluntarily, but often by way of kidnapping and enslavement. The dynamics that were stablished when north and south america first became known to europe, africa and asia are still reflected in who the halves and have not are in the world to day.
