Cold is a powerful tool for fat loss, but you don't want to adapt. This is reminiscent of a rule that you hear about in endurance exercise and in strength exercise as well. If you do 20 % more distance or 20 % more weight, you won't necessarily see the same commesurate level of ga nor improvement. And so likewise, with cold, if you're quickly moving from 30 seconds of exposure to ten minutes of exposure, you're overlooking the opportunity to get the most fat loss and increase in metabolism by stepping it up in smaller increments.
