Donald Trump Is the Ultimate Mobilizer
Three of the four governors you mentioned, so Abbott, DeSantis, and Kemp, they are all conservative populists. They are anti-elite. I mean, that's why they were against Fauci, right? They're anti-expertise, or at least suspicious of expertise. But Donald Trump is the ultimate mobilizer. He mobilizes his base, and he mobilizes the other team's base. That negative mobilization doesn't really happen with the governors we're discussing.
