The Secret of My Sister's Elopement
Fitzwilliam d'Arcy writes to his sister, asking for her secrecy. He says she was tricked into eloping by Mr. Wickham with a woman who had an affair with him. The pair were in Ramsgate at the time of their planned break-up. Fitzwilliam hopes that you will reject this account as false and confide in Colonel Fitzwilliam.
