The Origins of the Septuagent in the New Testament
Early christian writers found the septuagent ideally suited for use by gentiles. Clement of alexandria mentions its divine origin, and eusebius writes about god's providence in the translation but not the mira. Cyril of jerusalem is the first christian to include all 22 old testament books in the miraculous translation because the first story only talked about the pentateuch.
