Is the Ark of the Covenant a Devotion?

Gavin: Just because scripture does not describe a devotion, that's not enough to say the devotion or custom is immoral. Next Gavin talks about the lack of veneration of images in the Old Testament. He says if Catholic churches said some images of Mary were so holy that no one was allowed to touch them, you'd bet Gavin would call it illicit veneration.
