How to Be a Successful Indie Author

I remember coming to the booksellers conference in 2012 and being treated like an outcast. indie authors were not welcome about a decade ago, but it feels like things have changed. One of our best selling books was actually published independently. So yeah, so we'll work on merit. And if an indie author's successful, then it makes forecasting so much easier because they're bringing real sales data to commissioning meeting.
