"I have a mission on this planet that God put me here for, and it's to help the world co-elivate," he says. "It was a big problem growing up in blue-collar Southwestern Pennsylvania where I couldn't have possibly come out at the time [as gay]. So you sublimated it, particularly because your religion very clearly stated that it was abomination." He adds: "After all of the hard work trying not to be gay, which I cry every Sunday at the pulpit, tears asking God to take this stuff away from me"
