The Immune System's Role in Error Correction

The organisms immune system had detected that a new invader had arrived. We did not have the immunoglobulin needed for grabbing and holding on to it. So what did the immune system do? It told the relevant immune system cells to stop the error correction being so completely accurate. That produces literally millions of new nucleotide sequences from which the immune system can choose.
